By downloading or using SteadyScale, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of service

SteadyScale is a personal weight tracking application for iOS. It stores your data on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. The app provides statistical projections based on your logged measurements — these are mathematical estimates, not medical advice.

Not medical advice

SteadyScale is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The projections, forecasts, and rates shown in the app are based on the data you enter and simple statistical methods. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet or exercise routine, especially for weight changes of 20 lb (9 kg) or more.

Subscription and payment

SteadyScale offers a free 7-day trial. After the trial, a subscription is required for full functionality. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms. You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings.

If your subscription expires, your data remains on your device and you retain read-only access and CSV export.

Your data

You own your data. We do not collect, access, or store your weight measurements on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app for personal, non-commercial weight tracking. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app or its components.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any projection or forecast. Statistical estimates depend on the data you provide and the assumptions of the underlying model.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteadyScale is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

Third-party beneficiary

Apple Inc. is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
